"Las Aves: Between Earth and Sky"

A barn owl comes in to land with wings spread wide, facing a crested caracara that stands its ground on the right. A deep red disc fills the space behind them, and a nopal in heavy pink bloom spreads across the left. According to the artist, the birds stand for wisdom, freedom and strength, and the nopal for the life of the land.
